Data we process

Depending on your use, we process account and authentication identifiers; email where supplied; nickname, avatar, flag and settings; age-eligibility and legal-acceptance records; matches, answers, response times, rankings and anti-cheat signals; chats, reports, blocks, moderation and appeals; purchase identifiers and entitlement status; IP and security logs; device type, operating system, app version, language, approximate region, crash and diagnostic data; and information sent to support.

Why and on what basis

We use data to provide accounts, multiplayer matches, chat, rankings and purchases; secure the service; prevent fraud and abuse; moderate content; handle support and appeals; diagnose faults; and comply with law. Depending on the activity, the legal basis is performance of a contract, legitimate interests, legal obligation or consent.

Sharing and international transfers

We do not sell personal data. Necessary providers may include Supabase, Google, Apple, payment, crash/security, moderation and support providers. Each receives only what is needed for its role. Where data is transferred internationally, an adequacy decision, approved contractual clauses or another lawful safeguard will be used where required.

Retention

• Profile, entitlements and aggregate statistics: while active and until deletion.
• Ordinary chat: intended maximum 90 days.
• Safety evidence and sanctions: normally up to 12 months after closure.
• Detailed match events: normally up to 24 months.
• Security logs: normally up to 90 days.
• Transaction records: up to 7 years where required.
• Backups: intended overwrite within 30 days after deletion.

Limited records may be retained where required for law, fraud prevention, safety or legal claims.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, export, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, human review of relevant automated decisions and deletion. Use Delete account or email support@quizeurope.com. You may complain to the UK ICO or your local data-protection authority.

Children

Quiz Europe is intended for people aged 16 or older. Under-16s must not create an account. We do not knowingly use children’s data for behavioural advertising. Accounts identified as under 16 may be restricted and deleted subject to safeguarding and legal requirements.

Security and changes

We use encrypted connections, row-level database security, access controls and monitoring. No system is perfectly secure. Material changes to this notice will be communicated where required.
